COMMERCIAL INTELLIGENCE.
The Melbourne Argus, June 27th, reports the Late arrivals both here and Sydney have created some heaviness, the sales effected do not show any decided alteration in price. Adelaide flour, of best brands, is still quoted at £17 10s. We hear of the balance of the Douglas's Californian flour, about eighty tons, having been placed at £16 10s. In wheat, no further transactions are mentioned. Of barley, a parcel of some 7;000 bushels has been sold, to land, on private terras, but quite up to late sales. Oats present a firm aspect; a parcel of some 10,000 bushels Tasnian "was disposed of, at fully up to 5s 6d; About COO bags of New Zealand outs have also changed
hands at an extreme figure. [ An advance has been realised on maize, several prime parcels having been placed at 5s 6d. The auction sale of Bourbon sugar obtained considerable notice — the fact of so large, a shipment as 20,162 bags being placed on the market, having caused some excitement amongst the dealers. Sales of Barrett's twist are reported at 2s 9d. Price's Belmont's have changed hands at 15 id.
