TAHITI.
We Lave news from Tahiti to the 24th of March. The opening of the Legislative Assembly for 1866, delayed through the illness of Queen Poraare, was to take place on the 24th of March. It was publicly notified by the Astronomer, M. Kulczucki, that there would be a total eclipse of the moon at Papieti on the 30th of March. The High Court of the Toohitu was to be opened when the Legislative Assembly had. ceased to sit. — Weekly News. Light-house Tahiti. — The following is an extract of a letter received per City of Sydney, from Tahiti, dated loth March, 1866: — "The Government have commenced building a light-house, anticipating that the Panama and .New Zealand line of steamers will, in a few months, touch here regularly."
