By the arrival of the Novelty, via Tahiti, we learned of the total wreck of the ship Thetis, 1,200 tons register ; tlie vessel became.a total wreck, but the crew was saved. The . Thetis was chartered from Sydney to proceed to Maiden Island, to load guano for Sydney. She up fortunately struck a reef near Maiden. The .crew succeeded in reaching Tahiti', an,d the British Consul forwarded them to Sydney by the brig City of Sydney.— Auckland Paper.
