Inadequate Potato Supplies Reported
AUCKLAND. Sat. (PAD. - The quantity ci table pptatoes coming on to the local market has been totally inadequate to cater for the heavy winter demand, states the Auckland Grain. Seed and Produce Merchants Association. Merchants have been handicapped by the slow discharge of steamers, manv of the potatoes in the Waipon being still in hie ship, although she has been in port for several weeks. Future arrivals from the South are also very indefinite.
