No New Zealanders

WELLINGTON, Thu. (P.A.) The Chatham Cup North Island semi-final between Petone and Ohakea in Wellington on Saturday will to some extent be a match between home teams away from home. The Ohakea team will comprise five Englishmen, four Scotsmen and two Irishmen, and one Welshman as reserve. The match will probably provide a precedent insofar as both teams will take the field without a single native New Zealand player. However, the Petone team, when it won the Chatham Cup in 1928 and 1930. did not on either occasion include a native New Zealander.
