Maungatapere F.F. On Coop. Freezing Works
Cooperative freezing works were discussed in principle by the Maungatapere branch of Federated Farmers at its July meeting. While the farmers approved of cooperative ownership, they required pi ore information on methods of financing the works before they gave their final approval.
It was considered that the Meat Board should bear most of the burden of the capital outlay, as it was holding millions of pounds of farmnrp’ money.
