Christchurch 2nd NZEF Assn Views
CHRISTCHURCH, Tue. (P.A.)—The executive of the Christchurch branch of the 2nd NZEF Association, at a special meeting yesterday afternoon, reaffirmed its opposition to compulsory military training in peacetime.
It also upheld the delegates of the branch to the Dominion conference of the association who had issued a statement dissociating themselves from the association’s changed attitude to conscription, which, they alleged, “was carried through political pressure.”
The executive’s decisions were reported to be unanimous.
