Ellis' 1000th Win

CHRISTCHURCH, Mon., (P.A.) Jockey L. J. Ellis received an ovation from the crowd when he won the Camla Hack Handicap, on the favourite, Terminus, at the Christchurch Hunt Club’s Meeting at Riccarton on Saturday. It was his 1000th winning ride. After the race Ellis was presented with a canteen of cutlery to mark the occasion. Mr D. E. Wanklyn made the presentation on behalf of the Canterbury Jockey Club and the Christchurch Hunt Club.
