Churchill 74, 'Full Of Beans'
LONDON. Mon. (1 p.m.).—Mr Churchill celebrates his 74th birthday tomorrow. A friend said he was “full.of beans” and fitter than at any time since he gave up Government office. Newspaper readers w r ere delighted with .photographs of Mr Churchill riding to hounds on Saturday. They show him astride a borrowed horse. He was wearing his distinctive square bowler hat, a lightweight jacket and jodhpurs, and smoking a cigar. It was the first time he had hunted since before the war. He was in the saddle for two hours.
