Prominent Czechoslovak Escapes To Germany

LONDON, Mon. (Noon).—Dr Rudolf Madar, former secretary of the Czech Parliament, his wife and young daughter, escaped from Czechoslovakia tc one of the Allied occupation zones of Germany. Dr Madar was imprisoned during the spring. He was suspected of anticommunist activities.

He was released when no evidence was brought forward. ' He was a leading member of the Czech Socialist Democratic Party. No details of his escape are yet available in London.
