Church And Divorce
SYDNEY, Tue. (1 p.m.).—Archbishop Mowll, Primate of Australia, told the Anglican Synod that clergymen did not have his approval if they married anyone who had been divorced. He added that in the case of a regular churchgoer who was the innocent party in a divorce which had been granted on the grounds o! adultery, the decree nisi and decree absolute might be forwarded to the registrar for him to examine on behalf of the Church.
