HIGHWAY
WELLINGTON.—The work of sealing the Ro-torua-Taupo road was proceeding' as fast as finance would allow, said an official of t the Main Highways Bpard yesterday. Two contracts were let at present. for 12 ivliles and the other for 13 miles. The board was hoping to have a continuous bitumen surface between Wairakei and ■Turangi and a further five miles from Reporoa to the bridge over the Waikato River.
