N.Z. LEADS IN CHINESE RELIEF

SHANGHAI, Mon. <ll a.m.).— Newspapers today featured a statement that New Zealand relief and rehabilitation aid co China, through the Dominion b Council of the Organisation tor Relief Service Overseas, probably was greater proportionate.y than that of any other country. The statement, which was accompanied by photographs was made by the Corso held director (Mr Colin Morrison) who said that every ship from New Zealand to China in the past two years had carried hundreds ol cases of gift goods. The statement described the medical, technical and administrative work many New Zealanders were carrying out in numerous Chinese cities and legions and made, special reference to the assistance given to industrial cooperatives organised by the famous New Zealander, Mr Rewi Alley.
