'N.Z. Doctors Harassed'
Patients with little wrong with them had so harassed the doctors in New Zealand that the medical scheme there had become a farce, said a speaker at a meeting of about 350 Sydney doctors.
, The meeting unanimously expressed disapproval of the Australian Government’s national health scheme in its present form. Speakers said the scheme interfered unreasonably with the rights of doctors and the traditional methods of dealing with patients. The meeting decided not to negotiate with the Federal Government unless it agreed to deal with the BMA as a body, and not , contact individual members.
