Bo by Wool Supplies

NEW PLYMOUTH. Wed. (P.A.) Although supplies of baby wool, white flannel and similar fabrics are in extremely short supply, expectant mothers will be given preference for these items by retailers. This decision was reached at the annual conference of the New Zealand Retailers' Federation of New Plymouth yesterday.

It was stated that it was not possible to guarantee supplies, but on presentation of their supplementary ration books expectant mothers would be assured of every consideration.

The present shortage of baby wool was attributed to the overseas supply position.

It was stated that the stock position of white flannel was unlikely to improve until more labour was available to local mills.
