KEAS

AUCKLAND.—Advice that the keas which were recently senf byair from Auckland to San Diego, California, had arrived safely and were in good condition, has been received by the curator of the Auckland Zoo (Lieu-tenant-Colonel E. B. Sawer), in a letter from the Zoological Society of San Diego. The society said it was very interested in the keas, and also asked for paradise ducks and pukekos to be sent by air. Lieu-tenant-Colonel Sawer told the City Council's Parks Committee yesterday that keas had not previously been in America.— (Sp.)
