Largesf Mako Landed in bay

RUSSELL, Mon. (Sp.)—Fishing from Mr Geo. Warne’s launch Rosemary Mr Carl Pollard, of Auckland, landed what proved to be the biggest mako shark seen in the Bay of •Islands for some time.

The fish weighed 5631 b and. being too big to haul on board, it was towed, back to Otehei Bay. When hooked the fish put up a strong •fight and Mr Pollard played it for about three and a half hours. Mr Pollard was fishing in an area c-ast of Bird Rock.
