Record For Single Day At Newmarket Sale
LONDON, Wed. (11 a.m.)—The four-year-old mare Tukoise, by Turkhan from Precious Polly, brought 9000gns, the' week’s highest price at Tattersall’s Newmarket December bloodstock sales. Other high prices included Fair Ranger, a four-year-old mare by Bois Roussel from Point Duty, 8600gns; Forecourt, a four-year-old mare by Fair Trial from Overture, 8100gns; Whitehall, a four-year-old colt by Admiral’s Walk from White Lady, 6500 gns. One hundred and eighty-five, horses sold for a total of 257,205gn5—a record for a single day's takings.
