Way Made Easy For N.Z. 'Blue Baby ' In Scotland
WELLINGTON, Thu. (P.A.).—One of the children in whom Heritage (Wellington) Inc. was interested was a boy who was “a blue baby” case, stated the president (Dr 0. C. Mazengarb) at the annual meeting. With the help of Sir Fred Bowerbank the interest of an Edinburgh surgeon who specialised in the disability had been g'ained and, if the specialist decided that an operation should be performed, this service would be given free. Overseas shipowners had also cooperated in arranging transport of the mother and child to Scotland in the New Year. Dr Mazengarb said he hoped to report at the next annual meeting that a successful operation had been performed.
