Lang), of Lyttelton, resigned his position to which he had been elected by a slender majority, Mr A. Drennan. of Auckland, was elected in his place. This will be the fifth year in succession that Mr Drennan has held the position. The national secretary (Mr T. Mr Hill said that Mr Barnes was not present when the resignation was accepted, but he returned later. Mr Barnes declined to comment on the position.
