Vanished Maori Antiques

(Special) NEW PLYMOUTH. This Day What is considered the finest collection of Maori antiques outside New Zealand has gone astray during the recent war. states Dr ,C. B. Humphreys, of Cambridge University, England. Dr Humphreys is keeper of the I West Pacific collection in the Cambridge University Museum. England. He is visiting New Zealand to arrange for exchanges of exhibits between the Cambridge and New Zealand museums. Dr'Humphreys said the collection he referred to was in the Berlin Museum before the war. but whether the pieces were still in the museums of Germany or had been moved was not known.
