Delay Speed Attempt
LONDON, Aug. 24. The attempt on the world speed record was deferred after the discovery of a fuselage fault in GroupCaptain E. M. Donaldson’s Meteor plane as a result of high-speed stress. The other Meteor is also temporarily out of action while the designers attempt to find the cause of the starboard wing dipping at top speed.
