High Value Of Exports In April
(Special) WELLINGTON. This Day. The value of New Zealand exporis in April, £7,192,000, was (he highest for that month since April, 1940. when exports totalled £8,423.000. In the first four months of this year exports reached the exceptionally high figure of £35,142,000, or nearly £11,000,000 more than for the corresponding period of last .sear.
Imports in April, at. £5,614.000, were £1.047,000 more than a year before, bur even so the adverse balance of £IOO.OOO in April. 1045. was converted into an excess of exports of £1,578,000. The total volume of' the Dominion’s trade for the month. £12,806,000. compares with £7.765,C00 in the same month last year.
