Plans For Empire Cotton

(Rcc. 10 a.m.l LONDON. June 26. A quarter of a million pounds is t# be spent by the Empire Cotton Growing Corporation on development of a central cotton research station at Namalonge. Uganda. The Colonial Office is to provide £ 125,000 of this expenditure and the remainder will be contributed by the corporation. The development station is the first step in a big campaign to increase Empire cotton production, which can be bought with sterling and supplied during periods of the year when American cotton is unavailable.
