British Note To Rumania Suppressed
(Rec. 11 a.m.) LONDON. June 25. It is understood that the Rumanian censorship has issued a directive to the Press stating that any newspaper publishing the British Note of June 15 would be liable to suppression, says the diplomatic correspondent of the Press Association.
Scon after Britain began her recent exchange of Notes with Rumania, an undertaking was given on behalf of the Rumanian Government that there would be no suppression of Allied communications by the Rumanian Press.
There is surprise in London, adds the correspondent, that the British Note of June 15 is net yet published.
