Commandeer House

(Special) WHAKATANE, This Day Compelled to live for the past five months in deplorable conditions, a returned soldier and his family have been installed in a vacated house by the Whakatane branch of the 2nd NZEF Association. The house, situated in McGreavy’s Road, Whakatane. has been vacant for nearly a year. The association takes full responsibility for its action, said the president (Mr O. Harland).
