The following naval casualties have been reported, the personnel concerned all being sitb-lieuiennnts (A). R N.Z.N.V.R.: — MISSING ON ACTIVE SERVICE Darby, I. —Wellington. Graham, D. N— Christchurch. Mcßride. T. C. —Wellington. O'Neill. F. B— Rotorua. South Island Rail Loss (Special.) WELLINGTON, This Day: A working loss of £39,025 shown in the railway accounts for the four-weekly period ended July 31 compares with a profit of £105,972 for the corresponding period of last year. South Island lines were responsible for the deficit, expenditure there exceeding revenue by £58,982, while North Island railways showed a surplus of revenue of £19,957 and miscellaneous services yielded a profit ot £33,322 for the period. The gross revenue from all sources was £1,070,834 for the four weeks and expenditure £1.082.537. For the same period of last year revenue was £1,062,874 and expenditure £956,902. For the period from April 1 to July 21, gross revenue was £4,577.307. against £4,183 421, and expenditure £4,231,869, against £3,805,158, the net revenue for the period being £345,438. against £378,263.
