Mangonui Hospital Board Aspirants

Kaitaia Town District (Returned Unopposed.) MR. J. T. CLARK (Sitting), farmer of Kaitaia, has represented Kaitaia on the Mangonui Hospital Board for 12 years. He was a member of the Kaitaia Town Board for one term, and is a committeeman of the Mangonui Agricultural and Pastoral Association. He has been president of the Mangonui Rugby Football "Union for the past 15 years' Born in Coromandel, he has been resident in Kaitaia for 21 years. Mangonui County (Seven Required.) MR. C. J. E. Storekeeper of Ahipara: hospital board member for over 30 years; chairman 1936-42; member Mangonui County Council for 20 years, chairman for six years: member of Kaitaia Town Board 1938-40; former president of Kaitaia Farmers' Union for 12 years: member of Kaitaia A. and P. Society for 30 years; president of Waipapakauri Racing Club for 20 years; resident of Far North since three years old. MR. D. KITCHEN.—(See Mangonui County Council). MR. YV. METCALFE.— (sitting) Farmer of Fairburn; hospital board member for past six years; director of Kaitaia Co-operative Dairy Co. Ltd; former president Kaitaia Agricultural and Pastoral Society and Fairburn primary school committee; served 13 months in home defence unit; resident of county for 34 years; he came from England. MR. 11. SANDERS, farmer of Takahue, a member of the board for the last term, has resided in the district for 32 years. I-Ie served for over four years in the last war, and has been a member of the executive of the Mangonui Returned Services’ Association since its revival about 10 years ago. Member of the board of directors of the Pig Marketing Association, member of the Auckland Provincial Council of Bobby Calf Pools, and also a member of the Mangonui Bobby Calf Pool committee. MR. W. J. STEED (Sitting).—(See Mangonui County Council). MR. I*. M. SULENTA.—(See Mangonui County Council.) Mr. R. T. WRATIIALL.—Retired carpenter of Mangonui, former member of Mangonui County Council for 28 years, served for period as chairman; former member of Whangarei, Bay of Islands and Mangonui Hospital Boards, on the latter of which he served for a time as chairman; former member Bay of Islands Licensing Committee; member Hospital Boards’ Association for three years; claims to hold Dominion record for local body portfolios; born in Mangonui.
