Guilty Of Trying To Influence Jury

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. After a retirement of half-an-hour a jury in the Supreme Court today found Jack Barratt, 64, labourer, guilty m two charges of attempting to interfere with the course of justice by approaching jurors in connection with the Radclilfe abortion trial in February. The jury added a recommendation to mercy on account of age. Mr Justice Johnston said he would give effect to the recommendation as far as possible. He adjourned sentence till later in the day.
