Mrs. A. North

A resident of Whangarei for nearly 60 years, Mrs. Anne North, died yesterday at her daughter’s residence. 7 Ewing’s Road, at the age of 82. Born in Congleton. England, in 1862, Mrs. North was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs- John Ford, and came to New Zealand when 21 years of age. Shortly after her arrival in New Zealand she married Mr. George North and settled in Whangarei. where she remained until her death. Her husband predeceased her four years ago. For many __ years ' Mrs. North was a member of tilt- Whangarei Salvation Army. Of a quiet, retiring disposition, Mrs. North’s main interests were her home and her family. Surviving her are seven sons and two daughters, 32 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren-
