(Rec.' 11 a.m.) . WASHINGTON. Feb. 9. hr. George Lewis, Director for Aeronautical Research, testifying to the House Appropriations -Committee, said that American combat planes kept abreast, of the best produced by any other nation and new, faster and longer range craft will soon be forthcoming. Dr. Lewis showed the committee a. model of the new Mustang fighter, P 51 which is the best pursuit plane America now has.
