Anti-Semitic Moves By Roue, Vichy

LONDON, December 19. Rome radio has announced that the Italian anti-semitic measures instituted on October 2 had, because of exceptional circumstances, been extended to Libya and the Libyan Sahai’a. The measures provide for the dismissal of Jews from army and civil and education services.

A member of the Vichy General Commission for Jewish affairs, broadcasting from Paris radio, forecast that the introduction of the laws will affect at least 1.500.000 Jetws throughout France. Jews naturalised since 1927 would be deprived of French nationality, while naturalisations since 1910 would be revised. Jews would be deprived of civil rights and compelled to resign from public positions.

Killed.—Sixteen mg'h German officials and two Danish members of the crew were killed when a Copenhagen-Bcrlin-Vienna passenger plane crashed at Vienna yesterday.
