Representative Rugby Between Army Teams In Whangarei Tomorrow

Scoring a -try in the last minute of the representative Rugby football match in Whangarei last month, South Army won a c-lose victory over North Army by 15 points to 13. Tomorrow, at Rugby Park, North Army will have its opportunity for revenge in the return fixture. The first meeting between the teams produced the best football seen this season, a fine display including a variation in fortune which aroused enthusiasm. The return match should produce even better football, as both teams have bad the opportunity for more training and should take the field in first-class fettle.

Some changes in the personnel have been made, but it is believed that these will have the effect of improvement. If the standard of last meeting is produced without improvement, however, spectators will see a grand game. The Women’s War Service Auxiliary will be in attendance at Rugby Park to provide refreshments for early comers keen to see the supporting representative fixture between North Army and South Army- junior teams, but soft drinks will not be obtainable as they are not procurable. A military band will be in attendance. Mr. R. Morrison will be the referee for the senior game. The teams are:— Soutli Army Seniors Full-back.—M. Le Pine. Three-quarters.—J. McLean. C. Kjestrup, R.
