N.Z. Army Promotions
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The following appointments and promotions of officers of the New Zealand military forces were gazetted last pight: Lieut.-Colonel J, G. Jeffrey, M.C., V.D., A.D.C., is appointed a fortress commander in the South Island in addition to his appointment as Area Commander and is granted the temporary rank of Colonel. Major R. Sinel, reserve of officers, New Zealand Artillery, is promoted Temporary-Lieut.-Colonel, and is appointed Director for Mechanical Transport, Army Headquarters, vice Major (Temporary-Lieut.-Colonel) V. J. Innes, who is attached to a branch of Quartermaster-General, Army Headquarters. Captain S. C. Hay is appointed Deputy-Assistant-Adjutant-General, Northern Military District, and is granted temporary rank of Major while so employed. Major E. F. Laws, Second N.Z.E.F., is appointed Deputy-Assistant-Quartermaster-General, Central Military District. Major F. R. Mcßride, Second N.Z.E.F., is appointed Deputy-Assistant-Ad j u tant-Gen-eral, Central Military District.
