Beau Vite Only Favourite To Win Auckland Event

Double figures were paid by Panoni and Foxsen in successive races on the concluding day of the Auckland Racing Club’s summer meeting yesterday. Favourites again failed to do well. Beau Vite being the only one to succeed. The totalisator handled £77,488 against £71,776 10/ on the final day last year. The investments for the meeting were £406.225, against £369,849 last year.

It was only the fourth occasion on which the total for the meeting has exceeded £400,000, the record being £511,455 10/ in 1920-21. Concluding results:
