Food Riots In S. France
LONDON, August 15
The correspondent; of the ‘‘Daily Express” at Cerbere, on the Spanish frontier, reports that serious food riots are occurring at Lyons, Toulouse and Marseilles, where women marched to the docks and tried to raid a ship carrying food from Algiers. The troops were called out from Lyons and several people are reported ito have been killed. The demonstrators included many demobilised soldiers.
