[Special to “Northern Advocate.’! * AUCKLAND, This Day. Three army officers. Lieutenants IJ. Shackleford, T. J. Bassett and E. Morrison, last night joined the police in a search for an intruder in a house in Remuera. A Maori girl, aged about 19, was later found in a greenhouse belonging to a property further down tire road. A man who had acquired the property recently was walking down a side path just before 9 o’clock when ho heard sounds near the front of the house. He switched on a torch and was in time to see a pair of legs disappear over a window sill. He called for help, and the three officers ran over and began to search the grounds. The police arrived shortly after, and the girl was found further down the street in the greenhouse.
