A new woolshed recently constructed by Mr A. Wilson was the venue, on Wednesday evening, of an enjoyable kitchen evening organised in honour of Miss Mary Bull, who is shortly to be married to Mr D. M. McAulay, of Waipu. The popularity of the young couple was exemplified by the crowd which attended, and the organisers of the evening, Mr and Mrs C. Lindquist., have every reason to feel gratified at the result of their efforts. Dancing in a real old-time atmosphere helped to pass the time all too quickly. During the supper interval, opportunity was taken by Mr H. S. McCarroll to present Mi'ss Bull with the many useful articles that had been brought along by the guests. Mr McAulay suitably responded. A presentation to Mrs A. Wilson in honour of her birthday, and musical •honours, proved one of the popular features of the function.
