Dairy Cows To £9 At Clearing Sale

Walter Wakelin Ltd., reports having held a very successful clearing sale on account of Mr H. A. Clarke, at Matarau, on Saturday. The herd, which were of mixed quality, sold exceptionally well and averaged £7. Crossbred dairy heifers sold to £5 12/6; two-year Shorthorn bulls, £5 2/-; small crossbred calves, 18/-; Shorthorn cows, r.w.b., £4 10/-. Dead stock and sundries also sold under keen competition. A total clearance was effected.
