THE LATEST THE CAT FRONT IS THAT YESTERDAY A LARGE NUMBER OF CATS AND KITTENS OF VARIOUS SIZES WERE SENT TO THE NAVAL BASE IN RESPONSE TO A REQUEST SOME TIME AGO FOR ONE OR TWO KITTENS TO DEAL WITH MICE AT VARIOUS LOOKOUT POSITIONS. One estimate of those in close confinement at the naval base yesterday was 121.

Struggle to Control Situation. The Navy, Army, wharf police and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to animals struggled to bring the situation under control.
