’Change Quiet After Long Week-end
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] AUCKLAND, This Day.
Business opened quietly on the Stock Exchange today after the long week-end, and only .a small list oi sales, all reported, were put through.
Quotations were generally steady and firm. Auckland Gas had ex-dividend quotations between 16/3 and 16/10. Offers were raised 5/- higher fcr peveral issues of Government securities, but holders remained' uninterested.
There was little change during the morning, and only three sales were finalised, at noon. These were: Dominion Breweries, £1 13/6; Broken Hill Proprietary, £2 14/3; Mossy Creek, ll£d.
