Nazi Planes For Rumanian Materials
NEW YORK, January 13. It is stated that 60 German pursuit aeroplanes were delivered to Rumania in barter for raw materials, says the Washington correspondent of the “New York Times.” This information is most interesting, in view of reports of a Russo-German agreement for the partition of Rumania. Diplomats discount the political importance of the deal, as they believe Germany is forced to export war materials in order to obtain Rumanian oil and food. These repoi'ts co-incide with others to the effect that, in spite of von Ribbentrop’s protests, the General Staff, backed by Marshal Goering, is shipping light .arms and ammunition to Sweden to replace arms sent to Finland.
