Wilsons Win Whangarei Electric Power Supply Appeal

(Per Press Association. Copyright J WELLINGTON, Saturday.

The Court of Appeal, in delivering judgment to-day in the case of Wilsons (N.Z.) Portland Cement, Ltd., against the Attorney-General, heard on June 23. 2G and 27, unanimously allowed the appeal of the company, and set aside the injunction which the Attorney-General, on behalf of the North Auckland Electric Power Board, had obtained, preventing the trans-

mission of steam-generated electric power along the lines from the company’s plant to the borough of Whangarei and other consumers. A cross-appeal which the AttorneyGeneral had brought for the purpose of obtaining a more definite injunction than that granted him in the Supreme Court was dismissed. The company was allowed costs in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.
