Wordley and Gibson Nominated For North Island Team
Following the match, Mr I. (“Bunny”) Finlayson, sole selector for North Auckland, nominnaled two additional players for the North Island v. South Island minor unions’ match at Christchurch on August 19. , They were: N. Gibson (Whangarei), first five-eighths; age 23, weight 10.2. height sft. Gins. ; Gibson played an outstanding , game on Saturday. He first rc- | presented North Auckland last year.
B. Wordley (Northern Wairoa); age 26, weight 13.1. height oft. 9in. Wordley was the outstanding forward, both in the Darga- ' ville trial and again on Saturday. He was in‘the Maori All Blacks in 1935.
