MOSCOW. July 28. Those “purged" in the latest Soviet move include the following:
General Shtern,. Commander of the First Special Far Eastern Army, who was one of the successors of Marshal Blucher. when the latter was himself
“purged” last year, and the command was divided.
General Lapin, commander* of the Far Eastern Air Force.
V. K. TairofT, Ambassador to the Outer Mongolian Republic, w'ho was known as Stalin’s “Viceroy.” OvchinikefT, head of the Young Communist League at Kharbarovsk, which is the Soviet’s Far Eastern strategic centre.
Captain Oras, naval attache at the Soviet embassy at Washington. Rappoport, political chief of the Naval Academy. Schevchenko, Political Commissar for the Ural district. S. K. Sudin. Vice-Commissar for Foreign Trade. Major-General Sergei.
