Danzig Nazi Organisations Now Part of Reich Army
(Received 1 p.m.) DANZIG. July 27. yi.L THE NAZI DEFENCE ORGANISATIONS HAVE BEEN INCORPORATED IN THE FIRST DANZIG ARMY, UNDER EAST PRUSSIAN COMMAND. AND ARE NOW PART OF THE REICH ARMY. Militarisation continues, army detachments and anti-tank guns parading the streets. The school holidays have been prolonged, as the buildings are being used as barracks. The Senate has issued a decree depriving Jews of the power to administer business investments or land in continuation of the policy of Aryanisation as a prelude to return to the Reich, Inc Senate purchased and demolished the central synogogue and Jewish cemeteries and properties. There are 4000 Jews in the city, the majority of whom are trying to evacuate. The Polish Commissioner in Danzig, M. Chodacki, again sent a Note to the Senate demanding the punishment of Nazis involved in last week's fiontier shooting. It is reported from Danzig, says an I.C.S. message, that ton Polish students, (who crossed the Danzig border while hiking, wore sentenced to a month’s imprisonment.
