London Wool Sales Firm Throughout

LONDON, July 26. The year's fourth series of wool sales has closed. On the final day 7473 bales wore offered, including 4265 of New Zealand wool. There was a poor selection, and the demand was less active. New Zealand greasy crossbred “3 in circle" made 10;;d to lid per lb. and scoured crossbred pieces “Konnington” made IPicl to 13.1 d. The tendency throughout the series was firm and competition keen. Compared with the close of the last series, scoured Merinos were at par, medium and coarse crossbreds 10 to 15 per cent, higher, and others 5 to 7£ per cent, dearer.
