No New Trial In Sheep-Poisoning Case
CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday,
In the Supreme Court yesterday, Mr Justice Northcroft refused a motion for a new trial in the case in which Allan Grant, stock breeder, of Waimate, was awarded £lß2l damages against Cooper, MacDougall and Robertson, Ltd., of Manchester. The damages were given by a special jury, which accepted Grant’s case that a number of his stud sheep died or had been injured as a result of absorbing poison out of a dip manufactured by the company.
