Showery weather conditions prevailed in Rawene on Wednesday when football and basketball teams from the Kaikohe High School met teams from the local school.

Kaikohe won the football match by 14 points to 9, after a fairly even game played on a very muddy field. Smith. Young and Donnelly obtained scores for the victors, and Donnelly converted his score, while Vuggich obtained three unconverted tries for Rawene. In the basketball, Rawene A defeated Kaikohe C by 12 points to 5. and the Rawene B team defeated the Kaikohe D team. B—2.
