rpHE Auckland Local Bodies Association has been advised by the Minister of Finance that in future the current rates on State houses will be paid as soon as possible after the demand is sent in. In the past, the State Advances Corporation did not pay rates until after the close of the local bodies’ financial year, a large amount of extra work being caused to local body officers. IN the Bankruptcy Court, before Mr Justice Callan, to-day. a discharge from bankruptcy was granted Nicholas Henry George Munro, of Onerahi (Mr P. Griffiths).
